Chronicles of an IJGB: Ghost Town

It's been over a month since the last post. You'd think nothing has happened in Lagos. The truth is, so much has happened and I've lost track and recollection. I never knew where to start from so I kept telling myself that I'd update you guys 'next week' Boy oh boy... the weeks have been fun filled. I don't even know how to give a  detailed summary of whats been going on since the last post. I'll try and bring highlights

Church
I went to church for the first time in 6 weeks... or there abouts. I forgot how much I love going to church. I don't know if it's society that's implanted that it's a place of renewal or that I'm always filled with the spirit.. I'm still struggling in my understanding, but I do know that whenever I attend service and the word speaks to me, I'm happy. That's how church makes me feel, so I guess this Christianity thing is right. For me... and as I grow, I hope i can share that with you.

Afropolitan Vibes.
BURRRNNNAAAA!!!
Okay, here's a tiny claim to fame - I went to school with this guy. Now I say that not to claim him, because I'm a MAJOR Burna fan. And every time I say this, people tend to throw the fact that I went to school back at me as if I'm not allowed to be a fan. Hello please... This individual did not exist when we were in school. I'm not saying he wasn't talented or anything, but I didn't know Burna then... so excuse my fandom guys... I believe I'm permitted.

Interviews
Over the past few weeks I've had a couple interviews for jobs in Nigeria. The possibility of me staying here after NYSC is increasing and I'm trying to maximise it. So it;s official guys, I'm job hunting.

NYSC
I've also learnt to understand how USELESS and UNFAVOURABLE the program is to the average youth. If your doing it, I have a post full of tips coming for you.

Life
It's been a good month and a lot of things are falling into place for me right now. I'm so thankful to God for it all. Not gonna bore you guys with throwback pictures or stories of weeks ago, because quite frankly, I can't really remember them all, but it's been the BEST September and an alright october so far- of my life.

Moving on, it's a zero-day working week for me!! (HALF TERM) Be VERY JEALOUS!!
Actually don't because as much as I haven't been going to work, I've been a higher level of stressed.
Why?
I've turned to Lagos' very own pit latrine. Yes guys, Lagos has been shitting on me. If we check the scoreboard... (I've gone and added a score board to each post every time Lagos wins - 5 points. Every time I win, 5 point. If it's a defeat through comeback - 10 points. and if tears are involved 15.

Lagos 40 - Toni 50.

Yes guys, tears came out. I've reached the point where this IJGB is frustrated and requires a break! I've been 'going back' since June - as a kind friend of mine provided me with an unsolicited reminder. But I'm taking a break. I'm very sure most of you IJGB's can handle it, but I can't. I did camp. That gives me the allowance to a break.

I'll try and be more consistent, but the truth is Lagos is losing it's flavour... but there's still more to be told. So watch out.

Your favourite IJGB
xx
